SUMMARY:  The Behavior Intervention Aide will assist in implementing interventions and supports to help students develop appropriate behavior, coping skills, and social skills. This position provides support to the instructional program by reinforcing positive behavioral strategies, collecting data, and assisting staff and students to meet individual social and behavioral needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Other duties may be assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises students in various settings as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must have a high school diploma or GED. 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Staff.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Nine-month employee. Salary to be established by the Board of Education.
